SÃO PAULO – Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva underwent surgery in a hospital in São Paulo on Tuesday after suffering a brain haemorrhage. 79-year-old Lula da Silva is expected to remain in the intensive care unit of a private hospital for two days as a precaution.
