Antti Suomela is still out of the Finnish team.
Antti Suomela started the World Cup as the Lions’ second center against the USA, but he was sidelined for the Germany game as a “precautionary measure”.
The player who won the SHL point exchange this season is now also out of Monday night’s game against Sweden. However, he was at the Lions’ morning ice in a black training shirt. The one outside the lineup had the same color shirt Waltteri Merelä.
– I won’t comment on that in more detail, but a lower limb injury, Suomela stated.
It is reportedly not a new injury.
– That has been my problem this season. A lot has been played, so probably partly because of that. Little by little, and when you know what it’s about, one day at a time, Suomela was spinning.
Jere Sallinen place Finland in the middle of the second round against Germany. The versatile attacker will also be on the same field in the Sweden match. On the sides, Sallinen can Kaapo Kako and Joel Armian.
The Finland-Sweden game starts at 20:20.
