Aymeric Laporta, central Manchester City and the Spanish team, defended on Monday Spain’s chances of winning the world title.
When asked by a journalist, who invited him to list the reasons why Spain can win the title, Laporte was blunt. “Why can’t we win it.”
“Like all the teams, each one has its strong points. Most of our players compete at the highest level in all the Leagues, we have very well represented players in the world of football. We have it all,” he said.

Laporte also pointed out that Spain is coming to the tournament at a good time. Personally, and despite coming out of injury, the French-born central defender said he was “very well, after being able to play the last Premier and Champions League games”.
