More than fashion! Inspiration, innovation and emotion were the focus at FASHN ROOMS, which took place in Düsseldorf from July 23rd to 25th. Fashion became tangible in the trendy Areal Böhler. Around 400 well-known brands from the DOB and HAKA segments as well as suppliers of supplementary products such as shoes and high-quality accessories showed their new collections for spring/summer 2023. The order platform has confirmed its standard: beyond the FASHN ROOMS, the showroom concept was used to already on Thursday and Friday, according to previously agreed appointments in a pleasant atmosphere.
Sustainability in focus
In the newly created “GREEN ROOM” area, the socially relevant topic of sustainability was integrated into the event in the form of a concept store. As a holistic concept with shopfitting, fashion and accessories, GREEN ROOM offers retailers a blueprint for implementing the important topic of sustainability in their own shops in a modern and attractive way. Tanja Kliewe-Meyer, Founder & CEO of Store 13, explains the contents of the store-sharing concept: “We deliver lots of fresh ideas and exciting impulses. In addition to the sustainable products, we focus on art and events that ensure frequency at the POS.” “Now it is also up to retailers to take up these ideas and implement them,” adds Igedo Company Managing Director Ulrike Kähler. “We are on the right track with the GREEN ROOM. The concept is still a small plant that needs to be watered in order for it to grow and thrive. Now, of course, the next step is to use the right measures to increase the focus of exhibitors and visitors on the GREEN ROOM.”

Heiko Wunder from wunderwerk, Düsseldorf, puts it in a nutshell: “The FASHN ROOMS in Areal Böhler are proof that trade fairs work. Whether small or large. Perfect organization by those responsible, good communication and an exciting brand mix – that’s what attracts people. More people would certainly visit the FASHN ROOMS if they planned a little more time for it. The pressure to visit all brands in their showrooms is too great. As a wunderwerk brand, we wish for the continuation and expansion of the FASHN ROOMS and accompanying activities such as the fashion show at the Kö.”
Fashion live on stage. The makers of the Igedo Company once again demonstrated their fashion expertise at the premiere of the B2C fashion shows in the city of Düsseldorf, initiated by the Düsseldorf Economic Development Agency, on the occasion of the Düsseldorf Fashion Days Festival Edition. Seven brands, including Marc Cain, wunderwerk and others, showed the enthusiastic audience the current trends live on stage. “It is the mix of trade fairs, showrooms and accompanying activities that make Düsseldorf so successful. Fashion belongs in Düsseldorf,” concludes Ulrike Kähler.
