A far-right German ex-soldier who plotted an attack on politicians in 2017 has been sentenced to 5.5 years in prison. The judges in Frankfurt find Franco Albrecht guilty of preparing acts of violence, illegal possession of weapons, embezzlement and fraud, German media report. Justice had demanded six years and three months in prison.
