It has been the travel destination for Dutch young people for more than ten years: Albufeira, on the Portuguese Algarve. What was once mainly a spontaneous holiday has grown into an industry of travel companies, party packages and festivals. For many it is still the first holiday without parents, but freedom appears to be surprisingly well organized in 2026.
