Two NAC supporters have been sentenced to four months in prison, two of which are conditional, for riots before the NAC-PSV match in November last year. The court in Den Bosch ruled this on Tuesday. The men were part of a group of dozens of supporters who clashed with police.

The two men, a 40-year-old Breda man and a 25-year-old Polish man, were acquitted by the police judge last year. But the court now finds that the men are guilty of violence against officers.

On November 9, 2024, NAC played against PSV in the evening. A group of supporters wanted to walk together in a procession to the stadium, but this was prohibited by the mayor. When a group of several dozen supporters walked together to the stadium, police officers and the riot police wanted to put a stop to it.

The supporters did not accept that and started throwing torches and stones. Police officers were also kicked and beaten. According to the court, the Breda resident threw a can of beer at the riot police. He also shouted all kinds of curses at the riot police and carried a torch. The Polish man kicked and hit a riot police officer and pushed him into the bushes.

In contrast to the police judge, the court finds the two men punishable. Both have to go to jail for two months. They only have to finish the two-month conditional period

Last year, a Polish man was given a three-week prison sentence by the police judge for throwing a stone.
