“We hoped that she would be the exception”: Vicky (30) loses battle against aggressive brain tumor

Until her very last breath, Vicky Cools kept fighting, determined to be with her partner and their two-year-old daughter a little longer. But an aggressive brain tumor took over the young woman of barely 30. Her loved ones are left orphaned, but at the same time they are proud of how Vicky lived her life: enterprising, always concerned about others and a positive person who did not mince her words: “A week before her death we went through the script for her funeral: ‘Now I am ready to die,’ she said.”
