Marga Bult also reacts with relief. “Finally, after six long years of waiting and a career that was completely destroyed in advance, Marco has been acquitted on all fronts this morning,” she writes on Instagram. She says she is happy for the whole family.

The court in Utrecht acquitted Marco Borsato on Thursday. According to the judges, there was insufficient legal and convincing evidence to support the charge that the singer committed indecency with a 15-year-old girl from September 2014 to January 2015. The Public Prosecution Service had demanded a prison sentence of five months.
