FC Barcelona stumbled in the Champions League. In the draw in Bruges, a DFB talent also scored against the Catalans.

A spectacular game in the Champions League did not find a winner on Wednesday evening: Club Brugge and FC Barcelona drew 3:3 (2:1) after 90 extremely exciting minutes. For the Spanish top club, the result is a setback in the fight for direct qualification for the round of 16 of the premier class. Barça currently has seven points and is eleventh, which only qualifies for the playoffs.

DFB talent Nicolò Tresoldi shocked the guests early on in the Jan Breydel Stadium. The U21 international, who moved from Hannover 96 to Bruges in the summer, scored his second goal of the current Champions League season (6th minute).

Barça immediately equalized through Ferran Torres (8th). Shortly afterwards, Carlos Forbs made it 2-1 for the Belgians (63′). In the second period, Lamine Yamal made it 2-2 (61′), but this time the hosts hit back straight away. Again it was Carlos Forbs who scored (63′). An own goal from former Düsseldorf player Christos Tzolis gave former national coach Hansi Flick’s team a point (77th). The supposed winning goal for Bruges in added time did not count after a foul on Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.

Meanwhile, Galatsaray Istanbul celebrated a clear success at Ajax Amsterdam. The Turks won 3-0 (0-0) thanks to a flawless hat trick from ex-Wolfsburg player Victor Osimhen (59th, 66th/handed penalty, 78th/handed penalty). Ex-Bayern star and national player Leroy Sané prepared the Nigerian’s opening goal with a fine cross.

At the same time, Nick Woltemade was able to celebrate a 2-0 home win (1-0) for Newcastle United against Athletic Bilbao. The DFB striker was on the field for 83 minutes for the “Magpies”, but was unable to contribute a goal this time. The goals for Newcastle were scored by Dan Burn (11th) and former Hoffenheim player Joelinton (49th).

Marseille also lost its home game against Atalanta 0-1 (0-0). Inter Milan defeated Qairat Almaty 2-1 (1-0). Earlier in the evening, Chelsea FC made a mistake at Qarabağ Ağdam (3:3), as did Villareal at Pafos FC (0:1).
