A motorist has been arrested following a one-vehicle accident on the Hoogeveenseweg near Zuidwolde. His car left the road and ended up in a ditch.
According to police, the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol. The man was taken to the police station, where he must undergo a breath analysis.
The police are investigating further.
