Two deaths in one year during training: how dangerous is training in the army?

For the second time within a year, a Dutch soldier was killed during an exercise this week. Statistically, this is the worst year for Defense in terms of fatal accidents in a long time. But does it mean that now that the armed forces are training more, there will automatically be more casualties?
