Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.

Markus Gisdol is no longer a coach of the Turkish first division club KaySerispor. After only eight league games without a win, the club separated from the former Bundesliga coach. The club currently occupies the penultimate place in the table. As club presetting, Nurettin Acikalin confirmed to the state news agency Anadolu Ajansi, the search for a successor has already started.

Gisdol had previously looked after the TSG Hoffenheim and 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga in addition to Hamburger SV. He also worked abroad, among others at Lokomotive Moscow and Samsunspor. His commitment to KaySerispor only started in summer, but was unsuccessful. The former HSV professional Laszlo Benes also plays for the club.

After the 4-0 home win of the HSV men, the next Bundesliga home game in the Volksparkstadion will be coming up on Monday evening: from 6 p.m. the HSV women receive TSG Hoffenheim. “A team with a lot of individual quality and the potential for the top 3 of the league,” said Hamburg trainer Liese Brancao. She hopes for many spectators in the stadium – “It will feel like we’re a player more.”

Hoffenheim is currently on the 6th place with seven points, the HSV is tenth with five points. So far, the two teams have only met once: in 2010/11, the Hamburg Hoffenheim defeated 1-0 in the DFB Cup round.

Tickets for the home game are still available in the HSV online shop from 10 euros. Adults who buy a card at a full price can take up to two children to the stadium for free.

If you don’t make it into the Volksparkstadion, you can even watch the game on TV for free: Sport1 will broadcast the HSV to Hoffenheim from 5.45 p.m. In addition, Magenta Sport and DAZN show all games of the women’s Bundesliga live-but combined with a paid subscription. Both platforms also start their transmission on Monday evening from 5:45 p.m.

On Sunday, the HSV will first meet Mainz 05 (5.30 p.m./DAZN) after more than seven years. The Hamburgers want to play their second win of the season against the Rheinhessen. This would end a long dry spell: the HSV has been waiting for a success against Mainz since 2015.

On May 3, 2015, the Bruno Labbadia team achieved a dramatic 2-1 away win. Gojko Kacar only scored in the 87th minute for victory for HSV. From 17th place the “red pants” slipped into 14th place on the 31st day – in the end they still had to save themselves in the relegation. Against Mainz there were three defeats and three draws in the subsequent six games.
