Who doesn’t want to be invited to the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce? At least one band actively tries to increase their chances – by bringing themselves into play as a musical accompaniment. Foreigner have published an open letter to the newly fully fully fully fully fully fully fully fully fully fully boned couple and offered themselves as a wedding band.
Foreigner with love anthems on offer
“Dear Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce,” begins the Instagram post. “We know what love is. It took us 40 years to get it out … and now you have it too. Please accept this as our official offer to be your wedding band.”
It is unclear whether Swift and Kelce are already big Foreigner fans. But it makes sense that the pop singer could like some of the big, hymnic, romantic hits of the band. Years ago, a fan had combined her Red songs inspired by eighties-arena rock with some Foreigner hits to Mashups.
Foreigners were only included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year – by Sammy Hagar. This was supported on stage by an Allstar occupation, including Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson and Slash on the guitar to celebrate the band’s legacy.
Swift and Kelce freshly engaged
The engagement of Swift and Kelce was only announced last week. Kelce asked the question a few weeks earlier, immediately after Swift announced her new album “The Life of A Showgirl” in his “New Heights” podcast episode with Brother Jason Kelce. Apart from a common Instagram announcement with Kelce, Swift has not yet commented in detail about the engagement or looking for the right wedding band.
