From 1st to 3 August 2025, the Dangast beach is again transformed into a center for music, art and culture. National and international artists appear at the Watt en Schlick Festival: inside from different genres – including Zaho de Sagazan, Donots, Makko, Zimmer90 and Betterov. In addition, the open air offers readings, art and film contributions as well as a children’s program. In total, the acts play five stages directly on the Wadden Sea. Around 6,000 visitors are expected: inside.

Tickets

Arrival

The address of the festival site is: Kirchweg 1, 26316 Varel.

The car takes you by car via the A29, Departure Varel/Bockhorn. From there, the signage leads to the North Sea resort of Dangast. The festival site is signposted from the entrance to the town, parking spaces are available. Guests park with a camping card at the associated campsite.

The festival is also easy to reach by public transport. The journey is possible with the Northwest Railway to the Varel train station. From there, a shuttle bus runs regularly to Dangast.

For cyclists: The North Sea trough cycle path is ideal inside. Free bicycle parking spaces are available directly on the festival site.

And a simple trip by taxi from Varel train station to the festival site costs around 16 euros. Carpools are recommended.

Weather

According to the current forecast, visitors can expect: inside the Watt en Schlick Festival 2025 a predominantly changeable weekend. On Friday, August 1st, the maximum temperatures are around 21 degrees. At times, light rain and little sunshine can be expected. Saturday is also inconsistent: in mild temperatures, dense clouds alternate with short loosening. On Sunday, August 3, festival guests can finally look forward to friendlier weather. With up to 22 degrees, sun and largely dry conditions, the final day offers the most pleasant weather of the weekend. Visitors: Inside, it should still be prepared for rain and plan weatherproof clothing.
