In Southwest Drenthe, most tractors per thousand inhabitants are registered in the province. The municipalities of Westerveld and De Wolden are the only municipalities with more than eighty tractors per thousand inhabitants on 1 January.
This is according to figures from Statistics Netherlands. Trekker-Kopper in Drenthe is De Wolden with 84.7 tractors per thousand inhabitants. The least agricultural vehicles are registered in Assen. There you can find six tractors per thousand inhabitants.
There are only a few municipalities in the Netherlands where relatively more tractors are in use than in De Wolden and Westerveld. This applies, for example, to the Gelderse municipalities of Bronckhorst (86.4 tractors per thousand inhabitants), Dinkelland (100.2) and Tubbergen (110). Staphorst also belongs to the national leaders (107.2). At the beginning of this year, the GemeenteBaarle-Nassau in Noord-Brabant had relatively the most tractors in the country with 116 per thousand inhabitants.
