Felix Magath’s judgment on club World Cup-“catastrophe”

Felix Magath does not see any sporting value in the club World Cup in the USA, but only a “money tailoring”. So FC Bayern can be happy that the competition in the league is not that big at the moment, otherwise I would see black for a German championship next season,” said the former international and former Bayern coach.
After the long season, the teams such as the German champion from Munich and Borussia Dortmund would have to play for a weekly tournament in America. “When should the players recover?” Said Magath. At least financially, the tournament is worthwhile for the Bundesliga clubs, who have already recorded income of more than 50 million euros each. In total, FIFA releases around one billion US dollars (926 million euros) to the 32 participating clubs at the Reformed Club World Cup. In the best case, there could be up to 113 million euros for the tournament winner.
