A body was found in the search for the swimmer who was in trouble in the radioplasses in Stevensbeek. That happened after an hour -long search. A sonar boat was used during the search on Sunday. A helicopter was also searched for above the lake.
A man only went swimming on Saturday evening in the radioplasses in Stevensbeek. Halfway through the lake, according to the police spokesperson, he got into trouble. He still called for help and a bystander then tried to save him.
After the police were alerted, a large search was set up. On Saturday evening, around midnight, the swimmer was not yet found and the search was stopped. The search was resumed on Sunday and after hours a body was found in the water. It has not yet been officially confirmed that it is the missing swimmer.
