Belgians traveled 43.6 billion kilometers (3,980 km per Belgian) in 2023 to travel abroad, which amounts to a return to the record level of 2019, according to the report that was published by the FPS Mobility and Transport on Thursday. The average distance per trip is 2,500 kilometers there and back. Brussels residents fly twice as much as Flemish and Walloons.
