For more than two weeks now, there have been more asylum seekers in the registration center in Ter Apel than the 2,000 beds available. The number continued to rise, with the result that the Central Agency for Asylum Reception (COA) had to decide not to admit any more refugees. To prevent people from having to sleep outside, Aa and Hunze, Borger-Odoorn and Stadskanaal, among others, helped.
