Jack Wolfskin will have to do without CEO Matthew Jung in the future.

Jung leaves the outdoor equipment after three and a half years of belonging, one and a half years in the role of the managing director, as Jack Wolfskin confirmed at the request of Fashionunited. The previous CEO is eliminated at his own request to devote itself to new professional opportunities outside the company.

The farewell to Jung coincides with the takeover of Jack Wolfskin by the Chinese sporting goods group Anta Sports Products Limited. The acquisition already announced in April was completed on Monday, as can be seen from a message from the new parent company. Jack Wolfskin, previously part of the US group Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp., is now an indirect, 100 % subsidiary of the group.

Jung had taken over the CEO position in January 2024 and had previously worked for the company as General Manager China. He came to Jack Wolfskin in 2022 – according to his profile on the LinkedIn career network from a personal break. Previously, he held various management positions at the US sports articles manufacturer Nike, most recently as General Manager of the Converse shoe brand in Asia.

The successor in the CEO position should be announced shortly. Until then, the current management team will ensure smooth business operations. According to the message, there are no further structural changes in the company with the change of management.
