Freiburg shocked Leverkusen – and makes Bavaria a master

Mourning in Leverkusen, jubilee mood in Munich: Bayer Leverkusen finally has no way to defend the championship title from last season due to a 2-2 (0: 1) at SC Freiburg – and FC Bayern is on the sofa of the new German champion.
Maximilian Eggestein with a great pasture goal shortly before the half -time break (44.) and an own goal of Piero Hincapié shortly after the beginning of the second half of the game (48th) ensured the deserved leadership of the strongly performing Breisgauer, who gave the Munich team the 34th championship title in the club’s history two games before the end. Florian Wirtz (82nd) and Jonathan Tah (90.+4) still managed to equalize – too little. The Bavarians are eight points ahead of Leverkusen – unable to do the team of coach Xabi Alonso.
Leverkusen never really found the game in Freiburg, showing a very weak appearance and temporarily looked frustrated. A rearing up in the second half also failed to materialize, even with the lead in the back, Freiburg always looked more dangerous than Bayer. The equalization was too late.
