The HSV dreams of climbing – but tickets for home finals are in short supply. Fans resort to unusual means and trigger chaos from the opponent Ulm.

Six game days before the end of the season, the HSV is more close than ever before. On Tuesday, the club started ticket sales for the last home game against SSV Ulm on May 10th. After only 60 minutes, all 52,000 cards were out of stock. Thousands of HSV fans went away empty-handed and were disappointed.

Because it might be the Hamburg promotion game, which has been longing for seven years, some HSV supporters became creative: they wanted to stock up on the opponent with tickets-and are responsible for a large chaos in Ulm.

The association had expected a rush from Hamburg due to the table situation. “Unfortunately, no free sale can take place,” said the SSV Ulm in advance. On Tuesday afternoon, only members and season ticket holders should be able to buy tickets.

However, the pre -sale was briefly accessible to everyone due to a technical error. Some HSV fans took the chance and bought tickets. Ulm quickly noticed the breakdown and stopped the sale. All cards already purchased have been canceled.

“However, since it leads to a considerable security risk of having fans of both teams in the guest block, the ticket quota is re -awarded,” said SSV Ulm. Next Tuesday (April 15), the second division promoted, who is currently fighting against relegation, wants to start sales again.

Until then, Ulm could have a striking increase in new members from Hamburg and the surrounding area: Some HSV fans announced in social networks to join the club-alone to get cards for the Volksparkstadion via this detour.
