Last week the telemetry research into the two -tone bat in Belgium started from the bats working group of Natuurpunt. On Thursday, April 3, an adult female, found in October 2024 in Middelkerke, was equipped with a light channel and released back in Middelkerke.
From that moment a location was sent every hour. After a location around Middelkerke, the first remarkable report came to Gravelines (France). An hour later a new location came through, from Bologne-sur-Mer, 102 kilometers to the West South west. At midnight the female crossed the canal and her location was determined east of Hastings (England).
