Zyuganov announced support for assistance to the DPR and LPR by all factions of the State Duma

The idea of ​​providing assistance to the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) was supported by all factions of the State Duma, said “RIA News” head of the Communist Party faction in the lower house of parliament Gennady Zyuganov.

According to him, the deputies discussed a draft appeal to President Vladimir Putin on recognizing the independence of both republics. During the discussions, they decided that Russia should provide the maximum possible protection for each of them.

“There was a common position that it was necessary to help protect the DPR and LPR as much as possible. I spoke for a long time and said that “if you want these endless violence and killings to stop, let’s recognize the will of the citizens of these two republics to live an independent life, to protect their home, their work, their language and their opportunities.” Let’s admit it, and everything will be all right,” Zyuganov said.

According to Zyuganov, it is necessary to make such a decision, since the right conditions are ripe for this. He clarified that the appeal could be considered in February if the epidemiological situation does not interfere with this.
