President Zelensky: Departure of embassy staff from Ukraine does not mean an early escalation

Zelensky called the departure of diplomats from some countries from Ukraine a subtle diplomatic game that should not be perceived by the population as a harbinger of a threat. The President of Ukraine wished citizens to protect the brain “from nonsense”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made an appeal for the second time in the last two days, in which he urged to remain calm and not to believe all the news from the media or other sources. Appeal published on page Ukrainian President on Facebook.

Zelensky stressed that the departure of diplomats from some countries from Ukraine is part of a complex diplomatic game, but does not mean an inevitable escalation.

“The embassies of the EU countries and many others leave all their employees in Ukraine. The fact that some countries are exporting some of their diplomats does not at all mean an inevitable escalation, and is the subtleties of a complex diplomatic game. Together with partners, we work together, we act as a single team,” the President of Ukraine said.

He urged Ukrainians to protect their bodies from viruses, their brains from “nonsense”, and their hearts from panic.

As in yesterday’s address, Zelensky did not name the media and the countries that spread panicky rumors about the situation on the borders of Ukraine.
