Zakharov laughed at the level of knowledge of the British Foreign Secretary

Official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova amused by the level of knowledge of British Foreign Minister Elizabeth Truss about the history of Ukraine.

Zakharova asked Trass a few questions from Russian colleagues. In particular, she asked how many years had passed between the invasions of the Mongols and the Tatars. And she asked why the minister did not mention the suffering of Ukrainians from fascism – because they were insignificant or because until the 40s of the 20th century, Great Britain not only supported Nazism, but also touched it?

Also, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry asked Trass what diploma she received. Zakharova was mocked by Truss’ performance when she stated that Ukraine survived many invasions – from the Mongols to the Tatars.

British Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss, born in 1975. She graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, where she studied philosophy, politics and economics. Truss joined the Conservative Party in 1996 and began her political career.
