Yvonne Coldeweijer has it to be the female Johan Derksen on Net5, thinks her former podcast buddy Mark Koster. “It can become the female VI variant.”

It is a collaboration that not many people have seen coming: that between John de Mol and Yvonne Coldeweijer. The tabded juice queen will make a daily program on Net5, probably at eight o’clock in the evening. For people like Danny de Munk, that is a slap in the face that Talpa suddenly heals with Dutch celebrity number one.

Cordon from SBS 6

The big question is: is Yvonne free to say what she wants on Net5 or do we get RTL Boulevard-like censorship when it comes to Linda de Mol?

Mark Koster has just applied his former colleague to her. “She says:” Yes, I want to be able to say everything, “but she does get such a cordon from SBS 6 around it and it is daily. That is murderous. All your best is doing it to do it every day, but daily …” says the MediaColumnist in the podcast The Media Week.

Female

Yet it could just be a mega hit, Mark thinks. “It can be the female VI variant, I say just as high. Do you understand what I mean?”

Co-host Tina Nijkamp doubts about this. “Of course it will never be as successful as VI, because it is on Net5. So I think they should be happy with 250 thousand viewers. That would be very good. And then a market share of 6 percent in the target group. I think that’s the target, something like that. 6 or 7 percent.”

35 people

Net5 is relatively troubled by the rise of streaming services such as Netflix, because that channel used to broadcast many series. Yvonne must now give the station face. “Every day, huh? How big should be such an editorial team? RTL Boulevard has 35? Something like that,” Mark wonders.

Tina: “Yes, I think you’re getting something like that.”

Mark: “But that is a ridiculous edition. And Yvonne also costs something, I know.”

‘Not too bad’

Tina, the former channel boss of SBS 6, states that it is not so bad. “You can do it through five parts when it comes to working days or by seven. Then it is not so bad per episode.

“And they will certainly not have an editorial board. At least, I would recommend that. Don’t start it! You have to meet far too much meetings. Going your own way, nice juice, I am curious.”
