Women’s volleyball: Champions, Novara drops poker and sees the quarter-finals

Novara-Liberec 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-13)

Igor Gorgonzola hits the fourth consecutive success in the Champions League and takes off in group C, where it remains the only team with full points (therefore very close to landing in the quarterfinals). Novara has to renounce Nika Daalderop and Sofia D’Odorico, both tested positive for the eve swab and in isolation, and leaves Fersino to rest, who accuses back fatigue during the warm-up phase. The Czech team loses after only three exchanges Anna Sotkovska, victim of an ankle injury in an attempt to block Karakurt. The first set opens with a substantial balance, broken by Herbots’ turn, which leads Igor to 10-5 which forces the visiting coach Galik to stop the game. Novara, however, is rampant with the batting lap of Washington, which favors a new set that pushes it up to 15-6.
