A woman is in critical condition after being attacked by a shark in the Australian city of Sydney on Saturday. The man in his thirties was pulled from the water on Coogee beach, New South Wales state police said.

Police said the woman suffered serious injuries to her arms and legs. The victim was taken to hospital by helicopter. Popular Coogee beach and nearby Clovelly and Bronte beaches are closed.
There was already concern in Sydney in January after a series of shark attacks. This year, four people have already died in Australia after a shark attack.
