World Cup: Captain’s underpants picture surfaced

Harry Kane wants to lead his nation to the World Cup title as England captain. Before the tournament, however, he became a laughing stock because of one small detail.
Harry Kane was briefly seen in his underpants in a social media video from the English Football Association (FA). The FA’s post shared impressions of the photo shoot before the World Cup. The excerpt, in which the Bayern striker can be seen almost naked underneath, was apparently taken during preparations for the shoot.
Because teammates like Jarell Quansah can still be seen in their sports clothes at the same moment. Later, the England professionals were photographed in black suits. On social media posts about the shooting, the FA writes, among other things, “Our Brotherhood” or “Your Three Lions”. “Three Lions” is the nickname of the England national team.

And for them, the captain’s underpants picture should remain the only faux pas. Coach Thomas Tuchel had already spoken about the title at his inaugural press conference in October 2024: “I know that some trophies are missing here. I want to help make it possible.”
The English will play their first game on Wednesday, June 17th, against Croatia (10 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online). Ghana and Panama are also waiting in Group L. Moving forward is therefore mandatory.
To date, England has only won the World Cup in 1966. Since then, the “Three Lions” have always been considered favorites, but there was no further title or even another final appearance.
