A 69-year-old woman was caught in the act in Eindhoven on Thursday evening when she stole things from a grave.
A report of the grave robbery had been received by the police. The woman was caught on Verdi Street. She was not arrested, but handed over to family, the police said. Help is sought for her.
More stuff at home
Items stolen from graves were also found in the woman’s house. “It is stuff that people leave behind on a grave, so they are of great emotional value for the relatives,” said a police spokesperson.
The items have all been confiscated and will be returned to the owners.
