Winter Olympics in Beijing – Team boss nominates cross-country relay: “Young forces”

Zhangjiakou (dpa) – The German cross-country skiing team boss Peter Schlickenrieder has nominated his quartet for the Olympic men’s relay race. Janosch Brugger, Friedrich Moch, Florian Notz, and Lucas Bögl are scheduled to compete in the Winter Games competition over 4 x 10 kilometers on Sunday.

“We start with the young forces, the experienced athletes on the back,” said Schlickenrieder. He expects the 21-year-old Moch, who is in second place, to face the toughest opponents.

The German team from 8 a.m. (ARD and Eurosport) is not one of the medal candidates. There are four or five teams that are very difficult to get past, said Schlickenrieder in Zhangjiakou.
