Wikifox, a simplified and ergonomic version of Wikipedia

Wikipedia is a frequently used source of information for online research. However, the interface of the digital encyclopedia sometimes makes it difficult to read, as do the articles which are not always very clear. For this reason, there are platforms like Wikifox. This website offers a more ergonomic and simple version of Wikipedia.

Quick access to essential information

Wikifox has a practical and modern interface. It can be used like any traditional search engine, but only offers results from Wikipedia. To use it, all you have to do is enter a query in the search bar provided for this purpose. Several articles will then be offered to you, all related to your request. Just click on the most relevant.

The selected article will contain information from Wikipedia. However, Wikifox will display them differently than on the famous digital encyclopedia. Different fonts are used for texts, titles and subtitles to facilitate reading. Each paragraph will only contain the information deemed essential.

Although Wikifox is only available in beta, it already offers a lot of features. In the event that you seek to have only some information, it is possible to have a summary of the subject by clicking on the button provided for this purpose. The tool also offers the possibility to bookmark an article, share it or download it in PDF. If you want to enrich your knowledge, the “random” button will load a Wikipedia page at random.

Finally, Wikifox offers to customize the interface by clicking on “options”. The tool also offers to import its own theme in CSS format.
