Why men fall in love at first sight more often than women

Two strangers meet, looks meet, both hearts beat faster, the kiss is breathtaking.

Secretly, many dream of love at first sight. Genetically, the romantic dream is quite possible, especially men tend to fall in love with shock.

Men just love faster. Not because they are so romantic, no, it’s because of the more pronounced visuality.

This is how Helen Fisher, a biologist at the Kinsey Institute in New York, explains it. When men see a woman they like, the love program is started in their brain.

Because of this genetic tendency to shock love, he can let himself fall while she is still thinking back and forth.

No wonder men experience love at first sight more often. While 41 percent of them have already been hit by Cupid’s arrow, only 29 percent of all women said they had fallen in love at first sight.

Men also have fewer scruples about using the L-word. A full 41 percent of men tell their girlfriend within the first six months that they are in love. Women take much longer to do this.

But even if the sky is full of violins for men faster, a lightning love has to do above all with the right circumstances.

Arthur Aron, a professor at Stony Brook University in New York, knows the formula for love at first sight. Three factors must be met at the same time.

First: The appearance of the other is perceived as attractive.

Secondly: The personality of the other is desirable.

Third: You have to have the feeling of being liked by the other person.

When these three factors come together, you’re ready to fall head over heels in love.
