The PP once again dominates the map of Castilla y León, but gives ground to the extreme right and Soria Ya
The regional elections in Castilla y León of this 2022 have once again reflected a clear right-wing majority on the map of the community that the PP has governed for the longest time and, therefore, the PSOE has governed for the least time. On that map, however, the blue of the popular ones has ceded part of its territory to the green of the extreme right of Voxwhich has given a new electoral bite to the Spanish political board.
The PP has been the party with the most votes, obtaining 31 seats, two more than it had but far from the objective of approaching the absolute majority, so it will depend on Vox to govern, since this party has obtained 13 representatives; while the PSOE, with 28 parliamentarians, has no chance of winning with other parties, with 99% of the vote counted.
In fact, if the results by provinces are observed, the PP has managed to be the most voted force in four constituencies (Avila, Salamanca, Segovia Y Zamora) and in many others the PSOE has won (Burgos, Lion, Palencia Y Valladolid). The great surprise has been the victory of Soria Now in this province, which has managed to dye that part of the community a new color, leaving behind the two main parties, which had always distributed all the representatives, both in regional and national elections.
In fact, the province of Soria It has remained the only one in which Vox has not been able to access. Something similar has happened in Lionwhere popular and socialists have tied in part due to the escalation of the Union of the Leonese Peoplegoing from one to three attorneys, but in this case Vox has obtained two representatives, which has left out both Podemos and Cs.
