Green pass reactivation

Meanwhile, the Government, given the chaos of recent days, has changed the procedure for the automatic reactivation of the green pass for those recovering from Covid. To get the green card unlockedin fact, the certificate of healing will no longer be necessary, but the negative result of a molecular or antigenic test will suffice.

Quarantine: the new rules and when they apply

They have changed since December 31st the rules of quarantine for positives and close contacts. The new rules concern people who have had close contact with a positive for COVID-19, symptomatic and asymptomatic, vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Let’s start with close contacts with a confirmed positive for COVID-19. In this case, preventive quarantine will not apply to vaccinated. Specifically to people who:

– have completed the “primary” vaccination course, therefore two doses (without booster) of 120 days or less;
– to people who have been cured of COVID-19 for 120 days or less;
– to people who have received the booster dose of the vaccine (so-called “third dose” or “booster”).

To all these categories of people instead, a self-surveillance is applied, with the obligation to wear FFP2 masks until the tenth day after the last contact with the positive person.

What happens for symptomatic and asymptomatic

At the first appearance of symptoms and, if still symptomatic on the fifth day following the date of the last close contact, a rapid or molecular antigen test for the detection of Sars-Cov-2 antigen.

In case the test is carried out in authorized private centers, it is necessary to send the negative report to the ASL, also with electronic modalities, to determine the end of the self-surveillance period.

Instead, for those who have had close contact but are asymptomatic, have completed the primary vaccination course (two doses) for more than 120 days and still have a valid reinforced green pass, the quarantine will last for 5 days with the obligation of a negative molecular or antigen test on the fifth day.

Quarantine for vaccinated and unvaccinated positives

For unvaccinated people o who have not completed the primary vaccination course or who have completed the primary vaccination course for less than 14 days, the 10-day quarantine continues from the last exposure, with the obligation of a negative molecular or antigen test on the tenth day.

For the infected people which, on the other hand, they have previously received the booster dose or who have completed the vaccination course for less than 120 days, isolation is reduced to 7 days, provided that they have always been asymptomatic and on the condition that, at the end of this period, a molecular or antigen test with negative result.

In all cases described, for the termination of the quarantine a negative result of a rapid or molecular antigen test is required. In the event that the test is carried out at authorized private centers, it is necessary to transmit the negative report to the ASL, also electronically.

Who are the close contacts

According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health who “had close contact” is: who has had direct physical contact (for example a handshake). Anyone who has been in direct unprotected contact with their secretions (e.g. used paper handkerchiefs).

Who was face to face for more than 15 minutes less than 2 meters away unprotected in an enclosed environment. But also the passenger on the train or plane sitting less than 2 seats away and the medical staff without adequate protective equipment.

From restaurants to hotels to transport, where you need the super pass

From 10 January and until the end of the state of emergency (March 31), the reinforced green pass (obtained only if you are vaccinated or cured) becomes mandatory in hotels and in all accommodation facilities. For the feasts of civil and religious ceremonies (such as weddings), for festivals and fairs, for convention centers.

The unvaccinated will not even be able: sitting at the restaurant even outdoors, attending swimming pools and wellness centers even outdoors. Playing team sports. Also to go skiing you will need the “super” green pass.

And they will not be able not even present a means of public transport, both long-distance and urban public transport, which until now had been excluded. To board all these vehicles it is already mandatory to wear the Ffp2 mask.
