Wesley Sneijder in another chair does not provide higher viewing figures

Wesley Sneijder has switched places with Andy van der Meijde in the talk show Veronica Offside, but that has had little effect on the viewing figures for the time being. They are as low as ever.

It doesn’t really go smoothly with Veronica Offside yet. The football talk show in which Wilfred Genee goes through the latest football news with Andy van der Meijde, Wesley Sneijder and a changing guest started the second half of the first season last night, but the viewing figures continue to cry: 203 thousand viewers and a 3.7 percent market share .

Musical chairs Offside

The people who do watch Veronica Offiside were surprised by a new table setting, because Andy and Wesley have switched places. If you compare it with the setting of Today Inside, Andy is now in the place of René van der Gijp and Wesley is in the place of Johan Derksen.

Wilfred at the beginning of the broadcast: “It looks a little bit different, you must get used to it terribly, but look at them: Wesley Sneijder, Wim Kieft and Andy van der Meijde.”

“How does this feel?”

It’s quite a change, says Wilfred. “How does that feel in the Johan Derksen role?” he asks Wesley.

Wesley: “Yes, different. I hope Andy will talk to you a bit more now, too. Isn’t that the point?”

Andy: “He is angry about that video I made with Tom Staal. Then he will tackle me.”

Dynamics

Wim Kieft wonders why this was chosen. “From where?”

Wilfred then explains: “We’re going to see how this works out. It’s about the dynamics. There are people upstairs who know about it and they look at it all the time and then they come to the conclusion: you know what, we put them in a different position and see how the dynamics are going.”
