Werder Bremen have established a comfortable lead at the top of the table in the north-west division of the Virtual Bundesliga Club Championship in FIFA 22.
In the top game against Hannover 96, Bremen won all three matches (1-0; 2-1; 2-0) and thus secured what are probably the nine most important points of the current season. Bremen leads the table with a gap of eleven points.
Surprisingly, Hannover did without the top performers of the first half of the season. Riad “Riad” Fazlija paused this double match day.
Paul Wetenkamp, head of the eSports department, defended the coach’s decision: “There are many games, we have many competitions. The boys also have to be used very consciously. That means we not only protect the players, we also show that we have an incredibly strong squad,” he said in the VBL interview.
The season in the Club Championship is slowly coming to an end and the situation in the middle of the table is still tight. Only six points separate tenth and third place.
