ZV de Zaan won the first game in Italy with 9-10 and therefore started with a small lead on the return. Just like in Italy, De Zaan also turned out to be the better team in Amsterdam tonight. In the first quarter, Trieste was able to keep up somewhat, but from the second quarter the team of Mick van den Bree hit a considerable gap. At the start of the last quarter, De Zaan already led 11-5.
