Start coach Jose Mourinho has been blocked for three games after his “nose grapese”. The Turkish Football Association also made a fine of the equivalent of 7,000 euros against the Portuguese.

Fenerbahce’s coach had grabbed his counterpart on Wednesday after the lost cup quarter-finals against Galatasaray Istanbul (1: 2).

The association rated the campaign as “unsportsmanlike behavior” and also took into account Mourinho’s history in the sentence.

The 62-year-old had already been closed in February after Galatasaray had levied racism allegations to the Portuguese after the 0-0 in the league.

Mourinho still got off lightly. If his nose handle had been considered a “assault”, he should have exposed five games. Now he misses the games against Trabzonspor, Sivasspor and KaySerispor in the fight for the title.

In the table, Fenerbahce is in second place behind Galatasaray.
