Supplier Sean Ricks sort out Friday dockethow Kotkamiehen manages to provoke strangers to the brink of rage – and make money with it.
Kotkamie is a young, married beachgoer who keeps his real name a secret. It’s a protective measure. He deliberately annoys strangers in public places. Kotkamies, who intentionally causes embarrassing situations, films their reactions and publishes them online without permission. Often, the subjects themselves do not want to participate in videos that arouse direct hatred. The videos collect tens of thousands of views.
– It’s a completely stupid argument that I’m a bad person when I’m looking for views. Business is business, Kotkamies justifies his actions in the announcement of the documentary.
The eagle man says that he earns comfortably, although he is not a millionaire. In any case, he has been able to make a cash purchase of five thousand euros and has no debt.
In order to get clicks, Kotkamies has, for example, pretended to be a salesman of a large chain of stores and, as a fake security guard, claimed customers were thieves. He has also disturbed libraries and museums. Dozens of criminal reports have been filed against Kotkamiehi.
– Criminal reports don’t bother me. It only matters if it leads to prosecution.
So far has not led.

The short documentary was filmed at a cartoon event, where one visitor lets Kotkamiehen hear his praise. The visitor accuses Kotkamie of being a bully who sets a bad example for children. The eagle man feels so threatened that he starts to defend himself.
– Now you should really be careful. Really take it easy. I say this very kindly. I have practiced martial arts all my life.
Kotkamies tells the cameras that he follows his own moral rulebook, the contents of which are not disclosed in more detail. Kotkamies says so much that if the situation allows, he will ask those he filmed if he can publish the video. Almost always not allowed. The answer is also indifferent to the extent that Kotkamies publishes the videos he considers juicy whether or not he has permission.
– I couldn’t do this job if I saw that it would be a moral scandal. Filming in a public place is completely legal. There is nothing wrong with that, Kotkamiest defends himself.
In addition, he says in the documentary that one of his life values is not to bully anyone. However, it strongly contradicts the experience of some of those who had to be filmed.
In fact, Kotkamie himself feels that he is misunderstood. He has been threatened with beating numerous times.
– Every day I get dozens of comments that “when I see you, I’ll beat you up”. But everyone leaves it at the level of speech.
– I think a lot more terrible things happen online than what I do. Still, I’m at the center of a witch hunt, and I’m the most hated tubettai in Finland.
– I think this goes to excess, Kotkamies says about his own treatment.
