The customers of Warnez, supermarkets, want the new potatoes in the shelves. That figurative potato mountain with surplus the organization Waste Warriors will really put on the street next week. Thomas Schiltz, Waste Warriors: “We are going to literally lay a mountain at different locations in Flanders and Brussels. People can then buy a shopping bag for a few euros via our website. And then they can buy potatoes up to a maximum of ten kilograms.”

Or you can immediately donate that ten kilograms to the food bank. And they will also process part of the surplus as chips. And so one million kilograms of potatoes avoid the mountain of waste.
