Warning strike at Dresden/Halle-Leipzig airports: All passenger flights canceled

LEIPZIG/HALLE (dpa-AFX) – Due to a warning strike, all passenger flights at Halle-Leipzig and Dresden airports will be canceled on Monday. A spokesman for the Verdi union said this in the morning. At the start of the warning strike on Sunday, more than 200 employees were already involved. The arrival and departure boards on the airport websites showed all aircraft as canceled.

Verdi had called on the employees of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG to go on strike for 30 hours starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday. The reason for this is a tariff conflict between the airport company and Verdi. The union is demanding inflation compensation of 3,000 euros and a fixed amount of 650 euros more per month. Flughafen AG considers this to be incompatible with its economic situation./wos/DP/zb
