Warning for stormy Monday, wind gusts up to 100 kilometers per hour

Diana Woei van Weerplaza warns against a turbulent Monday. The KNMI has issued a code yellow due to heavy wind gusts.

“On Monday, a low pressure area will pass over our area”, Diana explained in the radio program ‘Weekend’ on Omroep Brabant. “Around the center of this area – which will be located near Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe – there is usually little wind. But on the south side, where we are located, a lot. That wind comes from the northwest. So get everything you need get out of your garden on Sunday evening, it’s going to be really windy.”

According to Diana, wind gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour are possible in the western parts of the province. “A little less in the east, but wind force 6 is still possible there during the morning and early afternoon.”

Regular sunshine
That is why the weather woman from Weerplaza recommends enjoying this Sunday, because she thinks it will be very nice. “Dry, with regular sunshine. The temperature will be a bit lower in the afternoon than Saturday, at about 7 or 8 degrees. But this is still on the high side for the time of year, because 6 degrees is common .”

The wind – from the northwest – will be less strong on Sunday than on Saturday. “At most force three.”
