Wages rose by about 2.4 percent last month. This means that the average increase will continue, according to preliminary figures from employers’ association AWVN. However, due to the skyrocketing inflation, we are still losing a lot of purchasing power. Unions believe that companies should therefore quickly make the cut. But employers and economists call that premature: they expect inflation to fall later this year.
