Vueling cancels 64 flights this Sunday due to the crew strike

  • The airline relocates affected customers to other aircraft and expects 89% of scheduled routes to operate normally

Vueling has preventively canceled 64 flights scheduled for this Sunday in Spain “to minimize the effects of the strike” of the company’s cabin crew, the airline announced in a statement. The company has added that it has offered alternatives so that all affected customers can travel and operates “normally” despite route suspensions that were not covered by the agreed minimum services.

Vueling plans to operate 89% of the flights scheduled for this third day of strikes, called by Stavla, the majority union among the airline’s crew. At Barcelona airport, 82% of the flights scheduled by Vueling will operate normally (133 of the 162 scheduled).

In the rest of Spain, 91% (193 of the 211 scheduled) will do so, and internationally, 90% (169 of the 186 scheduled). 93% of customers whose flight has been canceled have been relocated to other aircraft or have applied for a voucher or ticket refundwhile the rest are still waiting to choose their option.
