MADRID – After more than three months, the eruption of the volcano Cumbre Vieja on the Spanish island of La Palma is finally over. “It has taken 85 days and 18 hours, but today the scientific committee can say that the eruption is over,” regional security minister Julio Perez announced at a news conference on Saturday.
