Lode Vereeck (58), ex-Open Vld and ex-Lijst Dedecker, will become the Antwerp party leader for Vlaams Belang in the Chamber. The party council decided this this morning, HLN learned. Vereeck succeeds chairman Tom Van Grieken, who is elected to the Flemish parliament, as party leader in the largest constituency in the country. Within two weeks, Vereeck will move from Diepenbeek in Limburg to Kalmthout in Antwerp.
