This year it is Roermond that has the honor to proclaim the first Limburg city youth prince.
In a year where the uncertainty about carnival continues and in any case the major city carnival associations have decided not to proclaim a prince yet, Sjtadsvastelaoves association D’n Uul from Roermond has partly made a different choice.

The city will not receive an adult city prince this year, but to get into the carnival atmosphere a bit, the association has decided to proclaim the city youth prince. “We have made the choice to focus on the children and young people,” said frost chairman Dirk Franssen. “It is a bit easier and more creative for this target group to organize things”.
